Terry Alan VanBuren

Funeral service for Terry Alan VanBuren, 58, of Cache, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the First Baptist Church of Cache, Oklahoma with Rev. Trey Graham, officiating.       

Mr. VanBuren passed away on Monday, September 2, 2019 in Cache, Oklahoma. 

Burial will be at Cache Cemetery under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home. 

Terry was born on August 19, 1961 in Lawton, Oklahoma to James R. and Lena (Stogdale) VanBuren. He grew up in Lawton and graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1979. He worked for Anderson-Fletcher Plumbing, MOCO in Altus, Locke Supply, and Young Construction Company before starting his own business, Cement Works and Backhoe Service in 2000. He married Loretta Samples on October 23, 1993 in Cache, Oklahoma. Terry liked to travel and when not working, he enjoyed being at home with his family. 

He is survived by his wife, Loretta, of the home; his son, Adam VanBuren, of Cache, OK; his daughter, Sarah VanBuren, of Cache, OK; his mother, Lena VanBuren, of Lawton, OK; sister and brother in law, Tammy and Larry Kiefer, Apache, OK; his father in law and mother in law, Royse and Sheila Samples, of Cache, OK; his sister in law and brother in law, Marla and James White, of Indiahoma, OK; nephews, David Spannagel, Yukon, OK, Ian Kiefer and wife, Erica, of Tulsa, OK and Evan Kiefer, of Houston, TX; his uncle and aunt, Tommy and Patty VanBuren, of Virginia; and many cousins in Cache, Marlow, and Virginia. 
 
He was preceded in death by his father, James R. VanBuren; and his sister in law, Terri Calhoun.
