Thelma (Fox) Bacon

Funeral service for Thelma Fox Bacon, 85, of Adkins, Texas, will take place at       1 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2017, at Fort Sill National Cemetery; Reverend Robert Rose of First United Methodist Church of Lawton will officiate.

Mrs. Bacon passed away in Adkins, Texas on Thursday, December 21, 2017.
Thelma Fox Bacon was born on July 18, 1932, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Fredrick and Helen Fox.   

Thelma loved to spend as much time as possible with her family. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren meant the world to her.  She enjoyed listening to country music, square dancing, cooking, drawing, and collecting ceramics.

She is survived by her sons and their wives: Tim and Mona Bacon of  Adkins, TX, Mike and Tihn Bacon of Champaign, IL, Don Bacon of Liberty, MO and Clay and Gayle Bacon of Salt Lake City, UT.  Her brother Terry Fox of Lexington, N.C. and her sisters Dorothy Peeples of Americus, GA and Freda Hewitt of Albany, GA.   She has seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren:  She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Thelma is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Bacon, Jr., her parents, her brothers James and Larre Fox and her sisters Mildred Black and Shirley Hanes.
