d'Andrea Michelle Garcia

August 18, 1980 ~ April 9, 2021 (age 40) 40 Years Old

Tribute

A bright light on this earth has went out. Our beautiful d'Andrea departed this life on Friday morning, April 9, 2021 at the age of 40 years old. We loved her so much.

d'Andrea Michelle Garcia was born on August 18th, 1980 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Deborah Ann ( Lichti) and Joel Stephen Garcia. Brown eyed and brown haired with a smile to light up a room, she was the baby of the family.

She grew up in Cache, Oklahoma where she attended school at Cache Public Schools. She proudly graduated with the Class of 1999. After graduation she attended UCO in Edmond, Oklahoma for one year. Her free-spirted nature took her to Corpus Christi, Texas where she enjoyed living there and working in retail. It was here that dark clouds began to crowd out the sunshine.

The gentle winds took her next to Colorado where she loved the mountains. It was there she found her love of working retail. She worked several years for Famous Footware. She was very successful at her job and found her hard work and dedication taking her to the manager position of her own store within 1 year. She took great pride in her job and finding the perfect shoe for her customers.

The winds of change once again swept her away back to Texas to the Dallas area, and continued to work in retail and spent time with her sister and her family.

In true free - spirited nature, she loaded up her truck and headed back to Lawton, Oklahoma where she lived until the time of her death. After settling in she earned her Insurance license and worked for the Geico Agency for a period of time.

On October 20, 2009 she was blessed with a beautiful blue-eyed baby boy, who she named Gage D'Acey Garcia, and she loved him with all her heart. She loved playing outside with Gage and his friends, playing football, baseball, or water-sliding.  She also enjoyed times spent with Gage sitting around the firepit in the backyard, roasting marshmallows, laughing and joking. She loved playing video games with Gage, but her most precious times, and the times she loved the most, was praying with Gage, talking to him about God and snuggling.

Her next adventure was doing housekeeping services where she enjoyed helping people. Whether it be cleaning their house, their garage or their flowerbeds, she enjoyed the task at hand, and she was good at it. She was loved by her clients, and many became great friends. d'Andrea was a caring person, and would help family, friends and even strangers, often losing herself in the process. She had a good heart.  d'Andea was known growing up for her laughter and quick wit. She had a wonderful ability to bring laughter. She was given the nickname of "d-bird" by her family. Still at the age of 40, she was still affectionally known as "d-bird" to most....and our little "d-bird" she will always be.

She was very creative and loved creating beautiful gifts for her family members. They were precious gifts from her heart. She also enjoyed refurbishing furniture and turning a piece into something more beautiful than it had been before. We know she is with God now. She loved Jesus and was close to Him. She loved reading the Bible and could quote scripture by chapter and verse in an instant. She also loved music, drawing, writing poetry and had the most beautiful handwriting. d'Andrea was a kid at heart and was always loved by all the kids in the family and their friends. She was fun, she was loud and could run and play with the best of them. She enjoyed watching them play their sports as well, known for always being the loudest in the stands cheering them on.

She deeply loved her son Gage, her precious nephews Kaden and Kyler and Knox and her sweet niece Ava Sophia and the rest of her family. They deeply loved her back. She also loved her cats, Kizzy, Cheeto, Jet and Sugar Bear. Sugar Bear joined her in Heaven later that same day.

We will forever miss her beautiful smile, her laughter and her presence on this earth, and calling out “lil bird” when she walked in the room.

Loving and missing her forever will be her son Gage Garcia, her Mother Debi and Step-Father RA Burt, her brother Damian and wife Lisa all of Lawton, Ok., her sister Anitra' Gardner and husband Jerry, Wylie, Texas, and her nephews and niece, Kaden Gardner and Kyler Gardner, Wiley, Texas and Knox Garcia and Ava Garcia, of Lawton, Her Godmother and Aunt La Donna Heflin and her husband Jim, Lawton, OK  her Step-Mother Elaine Garcia, Lawton, Ok and numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.

We will forever love her and miss her here on this earth, but we know she is having a beautiful reunion in Heaven with her Father, Steve Garcia and her Grandparents Rose and Howard Latschar and Francis and Joe Garcia. We know that one day we too will see her again and we will all be together because this is just a temporary separation. Until then, she is at peace, safe in the arms of Jesus. Fly high lil 'bird.
