Funeral service for former Lawton resident, Dolly Louise Toms, 66, of Milford, Kansas will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 8, 2013 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Dawson, associate pastor First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will follow at Post Cemetery, Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

Mrs. Toms passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2013 in Kansas City, Missouri.

There will be a special viewing and visitation for family and friends on Thursday, March 7, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dolly was born on April 3, 1946 in Lamar, Missouri to Ivan and Zona (Waggnor) Voorhees. She grew up in Lamar where she attended school. She later moved to Manhattan, Kansas where she met James Howard Toms, Sr. and they were married on May 30, 1980 in Junction City, Kansas. She traveled with her husband to various duty stations during his military career before they made Lawton there home. Dolly operated a home day care from 1983 until 1986. She moved back to Junction City, Kansas in 2002 with her companion, Walter Mock. She loved the outdoors, and enjoyed living on the lake in Milford, Kansas where she and Walter  fished and boated. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her companion, Walter Mock, of the home; her children, Rebecca Aguliar and husband, Phillip, Sr., of Cary, North Carolina, Tony Toms, Tina Calfee and husband, Ernest, all of Lawton, Oklahoma, James Toms, Jr. and wife, Misty, of Ontario, Oregon, and Christopher Toms, of Junction City, Kansas; Linda Rehrig and husband, Robert, of Dexter, New Mexico, Willie Mock and wife, Jennifer, of Las Cruces, New Mexico and Stephanie Matley and husband, Michael, of Manhattan, Kansas; her brother, Ivan Voorhees and wife, Maxine, of Arma, Kansas; her sisters and brothers in law, Faye and Lee Storm and Ima Jean and Russell Pierson, all of Lamar, Missouri, Frances and Karl McDaniel, of Carthage, Missouri and Lorene and Ronnie Rives, of Jasper, Missouri; and numerous grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Toms was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James, and her sister, Rosa Lee.
