Anna Gagliardi

Funeral service for Anna M. "Annie" Gagliardi, 74, of Lawton will be at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Kevin Collins officiating.  

Viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Monday, December 18, 2017 at the funeral home. 

Ms. Gagliardi passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 in Lawton.

Anna was born on January 28,1943 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Ted and Ruth (Carter) Scarbrough. She grew up in Lawton where she attended school. She met Leonard Gagliardi in 1959 while he was stationed at Fort Sill and they married on March 3, 1962 in New York. While living in New York, they owned and operated a Beauty Shop. Anna returned to Lawton in 1974 and worked for awhile at Northrop. She bartended at the Wooden Nickel and Pickers Club and received many awards for her bartending. She then owned and operated Annie's Club and later worked at the Officers Club at Fort Sill before owning Annie's Catering at the Lawtonian. She then worked for  awhile at the Holiday Inn before retiring in 2010. Anna loved spending her time with family and she enjoyed crafting. She was a people person who never met a stranger. She knew everyone. Anna  could cook anything and was the "MOM" of the neighborhood. She will be missed by all who knew her.         

She is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Angela Gagliardi-Cummings and JR Helms and Nicole Gagliardi-May and Brett Herring, all of Lawton; her twin brothers, Tom Scarbrough, of Norman, OK and Tim Scarbrough, of Houston, TX; her former son in law, Cecil Cummings, of Lawton, OK; three grandchildren, Taylor Sloniker and husband, Dennis, Jace Cummings, and ShyAnn May; and three great grandchildren, Gunner Sloniker, Aubri Sloniker and JaMarcus Wilson; and a special friend, Sandy Rios. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her mother and father in law, Isidore and Angelica Gagliardi; her former husband, Leonard Gagliardi; her sister, Velma Kling; and her brother in law, Marco Gagliardi.
