Jacqueline Renée (Dalanzy) Beltrane, was born January 12, 1933, in Verdun, France, to Edmond and Jeanne (Paquin) Dalanzy. She died on April 22, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Jacqueline lived her childhood and completed her education in Verdun, France.  Jacqueline worked as an assistant to the personnel office at the US Army Installation in Verdun from 1951-1957.  She played basketball on one of the local leagues and that is where she met her future husband, Raymond.  She married Raymond S. Beltrane at the St. Victor Catholic Church in Verdun on February 6, 1954.  Jacqueline moved to the United States in March of 1957 and became a US Citizen in 1961.  She proudly followed her husband throughout his military career, which took the family many places.  These included Stuttgart, Landstuhl, Prum, Pirmasens and Heidelberg in Germany, allowing her to visit family in France often.  In the United States, Jacqueline and her family lived in Ft. Monmouth, NJ; Ft. Ritchie, MD; Ft. Meade, Washington DC and Ft. Huachuca, AZ.  Upon her husband’s retirement from the military, the family lived in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, finally establishing their home in Lawton in 1975.
Jacqueline was the beloved mother of six children. While raising her family, Jacqueline returned to work, working as the Outpatient Receptionist at Jim Taliaferro Mental Health Center where she was rewarded with lifelong friendships, especially with “the Golden Girls”. She retired in March of 2002 after 26 years of service. She enjoyed family get-togethers, traveling with her children, reading, cooking, baking, gardening and visiting family and friends in France.
Jacqueline is survived by her children and their spouses: Dana Beltrane of Lawton; Edward Beltrane of Gold Canyon, AZ, ; Francine and Richard Stone of Lawton; Anne-Michele and Kelly McClure of Lawton; Valerie and Keith Preston of Pinehurst, NC; and Raymond Jr. of Oklahoma City; 3 grandchildren: Jennifer Stone; Brent Stone and Madeleine McClure, all of Lawton; her brother: Maurice Dalanzy and wife Liliane of Dijon, France;  nieces: Linda Dalanzy of Paris, France and Dr. Sheryl Beltrane Dulske of San Antonio, TX; nephews: Raymond Sintic of Lawton; and Greg Beltrane of Sterling, VA; her special friend, Janet Evans; and numerous cousins, cousines and lifelong friends in France and the United States.
Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law Raymond and Anne Beltrane; husband,  granddaughter Alexis Beltrane; beloved sister Genevieve Sintic; brother Raymond Dalanzy; sisters-in-law Renée Dalanzy and Jean Beltrane; brothers-in-law Michael Sintic; Ray Paul Lynde and John Beltrane; nephew Jackie Beltrane; and her beloved little Schnauzer, Oliver.
Our beloved Maman was devoted to her children.  Her strong Catholic faith sustained her and her family throughout her life.  She will forever watch over us from Heaven and we will carry her in our hearts always.  Her fortitude, grace, devotion, and unconditional love are just a few of her many attributes that will be remembered by many.  Jacqueline was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, its Ladies Guild and Funeral Ministry and the Taliaferro Retiree’s group.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the charity of your choice.
