Uncle Dorwen- always happy and spirited made each visit a time of joy and fun! As a child, trips to Lawton meant a tickle, a laugh or a game if I got to see Uncle Dorwen. He was vibrant and sincere- I felt safe when he was around. As a man of deep commitment and faith he showed love and support in the smallest of things and to me my uncle Dorwen will forever live in my heart, a symbol of steadiness and strength, caring, love.... and family.

So sorry for the family's loss but it is wonderful to know that he is in Heaven now. It is a happy day for him but sad for those that are left. I was only with him on a few occasions when we were visiting Lawton but he was one of those people that made you feel that you had always known him. A very loving and gentle person. Praying for all of you.

I worked with Dorwen for many years at the Fire Dept. . He was a great guy and a great firefighter. He was always cheerful and glad to see you. He will be missed by all who knew him.

As his former son-in-law, I will remember so many good things and times at home, ball fields, and golf courses. I and my family will miss him. Love you also Helen, Monte, Darla and Jake
