Thomas Samuel (Sam) Waggoner, 79, was called home on August 15th 2017. His memorial service will be held at the American Legion Hall 264 in Burkburnett, TX, at 4 p.m. on Saturday August 19th 2017. He was born on January 31st, 1938 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He served in the United States Navy and was a local business owner with his brother Glenn R. Wagoner for many years. He married Sharon Arlene Kay Schewbart on July 9th, 1960 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Sam was a member of The American Legion 264. He was a loyal fan to the Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed cooking big meals for his family. And in his earlier years he played Minor League Baseball for the Muskogee Reds. He enjoyed coaching his own baseball team, "Wet Paint" and participated in different sports with his nephews. His survivors include three daughters, Dolly Waggoner, Gail Bingham and Tammy Bright and his son-in-law Mike Bingham. Granddaughter's, Morgan Johnson, Samantha Bingham, Miranda Bright, and Kaylie Bingham, 12 great-grandchildren, many beloved nieces, nephews, friends and his dearly loved dog Angel. He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer Frederick Wagoner and Alma Nancy Crum. His granddaughter Heather Bingham and five siblings, Bill Wagoner, Glen R. Wagoner, Maxine Roots, George Wagoner, and Inez Gann. His niece Faye Wagoner  and nephews Clarence Gann and Ronnie Gann. In lieu of flowers the family ask that contributions may be made to the American Legion 264, 621 South Red River Expressway, Burkburnett, Tx 76354.
